ICRAF Indonesia, through the Peat-IMPACTS project, participated in the 6th IKI Networking Workshop an Marketplace on September 18, 2024, in Jakarta. The event was divided into two sessions: the first highlighted the crucial role of women in leading the change toward inclusive sustainability, while the second focused on reinforcing Indonesia-Germany collaboration for lasting global sustainability. We bring the story of female farmers in Baru Village, Banyuasin, South Sumatra, who are developing stingless bee farming to preserve peat ecosystems and boost local economies, creating a positive model of empowerment. Meanwhile, in Sungai Radak Dua Village, Kubu Raya, West Kalimantan, Agro-Silvo-Fishery farming supports food security and climate change adaptation strategies.
