The drafting of the ministerial regulation on energy management, a derivative of PP 33/2023 on energy conservation, began in December and was finalized in August. The GIZ SETI Project provided technical expertise and facilitated focus group discussions and public hearings with various sectors.
Director Hendra Iswahyudi from the Directorate General of Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation noted that the final draft was authorized by the President on September 18 for harmonization. This regulation aims to enhance energy management practices, supporting the country’s emission reduction targets.
The initiative marks a significant step toward sustainable energy practices in Indonesia.
