Women in Benteng Makmur Village are driving change through agroforestry and home industries with support from FZS. The Mandiri Jaya Women’s Group produces snack chips and processes agroforestry crops, securing incomes while contributing to social forestry and wildlife conservation in Bukit Tigapuluh, demonstrating the power of women’s leadership in sustainability.
Urban Act Indonesia under GIZ, Held a Two-Day Training on GEDSI on Public Transportation System in Padang
Urban Act Indonesia conducted a two-day training on GEDSI mainstreaming in Padang’s public transportation sector on December 18–19, 2024. Expert speakers from National Line Ministries and Padang’s Department of Transportation provided insights into identifying and formulating GEDSI-focused policies.
Advancing Inclusivity and Gender Approach through FPIC and Gender Workshop
Ensuring inclusivity in project activities goes beyond numbers. To strengthen gender-responsive decision-making and respects human right, including indigenous people, SOLUSI held an FPIC and Gender workshop on 6–7 March 2025 for consortium members and field partners. The workshop enhanced participants’ understanding and capacity to implement FPIC and integrate gender perspectives into project planning and execution.
Harvesting Change: The Women Revitalizing Delima Village Through Coffee
In Delima Village, Kustinah, Elita, Wulanjati, and Legini start their day by harvesting coffee cherries from two-meter-high plants. Previously dependent on oil palms, they transitioned to agroforestry in 2020 with support from FZS.
