Green Economy Expo (GEE) 2024: Paving the Way for Indonesia’s Green Economy Transformation and Sustainable Growth

© GIZ/Climate and Biodiversity Hub Indonesia – At the Green Economy Expo 2024, GIZ Indonesia and ASEAN were recognized for promoting sustainable development. The GIZ booth attracted numerous visitors, showcasing collaborative initiatives focused on driving Indonesia’s green future and promoting circular economy solutions.

The German government, through the GIZ Climate and Biodiversity Hub Indonesia project, plays a pivotal role in supporting Indonesia’s transition to a sustainable green economy, aligned with the country’s Low Carbon Development and Climate Resilience goals as part of its Golden Vision 2045. By providing financial and technical cooperation, GIZ assists with infrastructure financing, policy implementation, capacity building, and the development of a waste management master plan. At the Green Economy Expo 2024, GIZ supported Bappenas by organising thematic discussions and an exhibition booth that attracted over 300 visitors from diverse backgrounds. These activities facilitated interactive learning, showcased project impacts, and fostered networking to drive sustainable growth, green economy initiatives, and circularity.
