Policy Priorities
The project aims to promote decarbonization in line with national mitigation contributions and long-term strategies by providing support to build capacities among policy makers for the coherent implementation of both the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) to the Paris Agreement. It pursues this aim by strengthening the momentum for decarbonization in partner countries through inclusive, green economic solutions, especially in the context of a green economic recovery.
To this aim, the project strengthens actors in relevant global partnerships and alliances (mainly PAGE, GO4SDGs, GGKP, Partners Network and GFPN) that advance the transformation towards inclusive green economies. Besides, the project focuses on partner countries Argentina, Costa Rica, Indonesia, and South Africa, who shall receive improved conceptual foundations for incentivizing transformation to inclusive green economies, particularly in the areas of green fiscal reform, green finance, sustainable infrastructure, and inclusiveness.
To contribute to the above objectives, as part of the Indonesia work package, the project will cooperate with Ministry of Environment and Forestry (the Directorate General of Climate Change and the Directorate General of Natural Resources and Ecosystem Conservation). The activities will focus on:
- Organizational, technical, political and strategic advice on adaptation finance
