The Indonesian government officially launched the Indonesian Biodiversity Strategy & Action Plan (IBSAP) 2025-2045 on August 8, 2024, marking a major step towards biodiversity conservation. The strategy, developed with crucial support from the German Federal Government through GIZ Climate and Biodiversity Hub Indonesia project, includes the creation of a Biodiversity Management Index to track progress in biodiversity management. Climate and Biodiversity Hub Indonesia’s role was vital in formulating the IBSAP and integrating it into Indonesia’s long-term development plans. Moving forward, the project will continue to support the implementation and monitoring of IBSAP, reinforcing Indonesia’s commitment to biodiversity conservation.
