Advancing Waste Management Financing: Workshop on Investment Project Identification in Padang and Medan
Urban Act Indonesia, through ESCAP, held workshops in Padang and Medan to identify investment-ready waste management projects. The events gathered key stakeholders to enhance project financing prospects. Padang focused on waste segregation, while Medan prioritized community-based solutions, advancing both cities’ readiness for climate finance opportunities at WUF12.

Answering the Challenges of Climate Change – Empowering Indonesian Students as Climate Change Leaders Through School Contests
The RYCAM school contest, in collaboration with the Indonesian Climate Change Alliance (ICCA), targeted Indonesian high school and vocational students in climate action. In January 2025, 32 of 66 proposals were chosen as winners. A final assessment in July 2025 will select the top 16 groups based on project implementation.
