Project aims to strengthen Type I eco-label and Sustainable Public Procurement in Indonesia, with the overarching goal of reducing GHG emissions. Project countries are supported to strengthen policy coherence and in building up the institutional and technical competencies to use both instruments more effectively as market incentive systems.

Policy Priorities :
Contribute to enhance Nationally Determined Contribution (NDCs), by strengthen Type I eco-labels and SPP (Sustainable Public Procurement) as central elements of an SCP (Sustainable Consumption and Production) policy, SDG 12 in Indonesia, with the overarching goal of reducing GHG (Greenhouse Gas) emissions.
Policy Targets :
Project has targeted (1) to certify the GHG of Type 1 eco-label and sustainably sourced products that cause lower greenhouse emissions, and for that Greenhouse gas savings (t CO2e) of 25% in selected 10 products groups through SPP. (2) to increase the SPP index by +1 index score compared to baseline in country (of the 10 YFP SPP index methodology). (3) Capacity building for the technical and methodological capacity development for life cycle assessment and costing. (4) to support develop social standards, i.e. gender equality and compliance with labour standards
SPP Long Term Action Plan (LTAP) for Indonesia, progress in approval process with SC (Steering Committee).
SPP Monitoring and Evaluation Design and Short-Term Action Plan (STAP), progress in approval process with SC.
GPP (Green Public Procurement) Institutional Strengthening, preparation for launching the SC.
Development of 10 products criteria document type 1, progress in finalization after discussion with the stakeholders.
Implementing SPP Pilot project in five provinces, progress in socialization to the stakeholders in the provinces level.
