On July 10, 2024, SOLUSI facilitated a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) in Semarang to support the development of Central Java’s biodiversity profile. This initiative aligns with Indonesia’s long term development plan (RPJMN) 2025-2045, which mandates biodiversity indicators to monitor conservation efforts and encouraged subnational governments to mainstream the indicators in their subnational development plan (RPJPD). Currently, Central Java is updating its biodiversity master plan (2020-2025). The session gathered national to local stakeholders to discuss key issues and provide policy recommendations. The outcomes will guide Central Java’s strategy to reduce biodiversity loss and ensure sustainable use, positioning the province as one of SOLUSI project pilot area for improved biodiversity management.
