© ICLEI/100% – Various key stakeholders from national and local governments, including the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR), the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), the Ministry of Home Affairs international development agencies, academia, NGOs, and others, gathered to provide input on the development of national policy recommendations as part of the 100% Renewables project in WNT.

On September 3, 2024, ICLEI Indonesia and West Nusa Tenggara (WNT) held the 3rd National Advisory Group Meeting in Jakarta as part of the 100% Renewables project. The meeting aimed to gather national-level input for policy recommendations supporting regional energy transitions.

In her opening remarks, Andriah Feby Misna, Director of the Directorate of New and Renewable Energy at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR), highlighted the roadmap’s importance, stating, “This roadmap must become a crucial tool for implementing concrete actions in our clean energy transition, ensuring we achieve 100% renewable energy by 2050.” A key event highlight was the symbolic handover of the “100 Percent Renewable Energy Roadmap 2050” to H. Sahdan, Head of the WNT Energy Agency, and representatives from WNT’s regional development agency, MEMR, and PT PLN (State Electricity Utility). The session also featured the presentation of the National Policy Recommendation draft, developed by the Indonesia Center for Renewable Energy Studies (ICRES).
